Hi, I'm Ashley

Hello, I’m Ashley, the owner and stylist at AltaR’d Salon. I grew up in the small town of West Milton, Ohio, and I am now proudly serving the Dayton area. My specialties include blonding, extensions, and lived-in color. I value the relationships I build with my clients and strive to ensure that everyone leaves feeling more confident than when they arrived.

 

When I'm not at work, you can find me enjoying life as a mom to four amazing kids and a wife to my best friend. I have a passion for coffee, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. ​

Let me spill the tea about my journey!

Fresh out of hair school, I dove into my dream salon, soaking up the vibes and loving the stylists around me. But deep down, I felt like something was holding me back. From day one, I was determined to own my own salon—but “when” was still a mystery! After seven months of assisting, I took the plunge and moved into my own cozy suite. Sure, I could craft my own mini salon vibe and pamper my clients, but I craved the salon family and community.

After a year and a half, the vision for altaR’d was born! I wanted a space with private suites and an open floor concept—so you could either enjoy some solo time within your four walls... or mingle with fellow service pros to swap ideas and inspire one another. It was all about catering to everyone’s needs!

​

 

Throughout this adventure, my husband and I leaned heavily on our faith, growing stronger together. We envisioned a warm, welcoming faith-based space where everyone felt seen, heard, and loved. How we found our magical spot is a whole saga for another day, but after six months of renovations filled with prayers, sweat, and sleepless nights, altaR’d salon came to life in November 2022!

We turned our dream into reality, designing every inch ourselves! We thought of everything: a fab snack/coffee bar, tons of storage for our service pros, and of course, super comfy styling chairs. We even drove to Georgia and tried out the styling chairs, stations, and shampoo bowls to make sure they were top-notch! Everything was crafted with YOU—our amazing clients and service providers—in mind.
